Matin Spinning Mills PLC's profit dipped 95.5 per cent year-on-year to Tk 1.07 crore in the third quarter of the current financial year.

The textile manufacturer made a profit of Tk 23.69 crore in the same January-March quarter of 2021-22.

The company reported earnings per share of Tk 0.11 for January-March of 2022-23 compared to Tk 2.43 in the identical quarter of FY22, the unaudited financial statements showed.

Matin Spinning made a profit of Tk 38.89 crore in July-March of the current financial year, again a decrease of 50 per cent from Tk 77.79 in FY22. As a result, the EPS fell to Tk 3.99 from Tk 7.98.

The net operating cash flow per share surged to Tk 14.16 in July-March of FY23 from Tk 5.01 in FY22.

The net asset value per share (with revaluation reserve) was Tk 59.64 on March 31 and Tk 60.63 on June 30.

The company's shares on the Dhaka Stock Exchange closed at Tk 77.60 on Monday.
