Foreign investors visit KEPZ as Investment Summit begins

A group of foreign investors have visited Korean Export Processing Zone (KEPZ) in Chittagong on the first day of the Bangladesh Investment Summit 2025 on Monday.

Chowdhury Ashik Mahmud Bin Harun, executive chairman of the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA), will hold a press briefing at 4:15pm today at Hotel InterContinental, Dhaka to share details about the events and programmes of the first day of the summit.

Scheduled to run from April 7 to April 10, the summit aims to draw attention from global investors and underscore Bangladesh's evolving economic landscape.

More than 550 foreign investors from 50 countries have registered, alongside 2,500 local participants, to attend the summit.

Many high-ranking officials and dignitaries are expected to take part in the summit, according to the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (Bida), including Óscar García Maceiras, CEO of Inditex, Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, group chairman and CEO of DP World, Kyeongsu Lee, vice-president of Samsung Construction and Trading Corporation, Jon Omund Revhaug, executive vice-president and head of Telenor Asia, and Han Jun-seokt, CEO of Giordano Korea.
