Stocks extended gains in early trade today, building on the upward momentum from the previous two sessions.

The DSEX, the premier index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange, gained 14.24 points or 0.27 percent to 5,238.61 as of 11:36 am. 

Investor participation was positive as 202 issues advanced, 113 declined and 77 remained unchanged.

Total turnover stood at Tk 215.25 crore. 

Shares of Bashundhara Paper Mills surged the most, 9 percent, while shares of ICB Islamic Bank dropped the most, 3 percent.

CSE All Share Price Index was up 0.03 percent, gaining 4.56 points to 14,512.38.
