Stocks extended their gains in the first hour of trading today, building on the upward momentum from the previous session.

The DSEX, the premier index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange, gained 14.06 points or 0.27 percent to 5,214.44 as of 11:06 am. 

Investors were positive as 225 issues advanced, 76 declined and 69 remained unchanged.

Total turnover stood at Tk 133.19 crore. 

Shares of S Alam Cold Rolled Steels Ltd surged the most, 9 percent, while shares of Al-Arafah Islami Bank dropped the most, 2 percent.

CSE All Share Price Index was up 0.10 percent, gaining 14.77 points to 14,512.38.
