Stocks gained in the first hour of trading today, recovering from the previous day's decline.

The DSEX, the premier index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange, gained 16.37 points or 0.31 percent to 5,205.99 as of 11:26 am.

Investor participation was positive as around 196 issues advanced, 95 declined and 90 remained unchanged.

Total turnover stood at Tk 135.87 crore.

Shares of Regent Textile Mills surged the highest 10 percent, while shares of ICB AMCL CMSF Golden Jubilee Mutual Fund dropped the most by 3 percent.

CSE All Share Price Index was up 0.24 percent, gaining 35.41 points to 14,517.67.
