Stocks edged up in the first hour of trading today, recovering from yesterday's losses. 

The DSEX, the premier index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange, gained 8.95 points or 0.17 percent to 5,201.40 as of 11 am. 

Some 188 issues advanced, 103 declined, and 77 remained unchanged.

Total turnover stood at Tk 123.14 crore. 

Shares of Fu Wang Food surged the most, 10 percent, while shares of Midland Bank dropped the most, 5 percent.

CSE All Share Price Index was up 0.24 percent, gaining 36.18 points to 14,518.25.
