Canadian University Alumni Association launched in Dhaka

The inauguration ceremony of Canadian University of Bangladesh (CUB) Alumni Association took place on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at the auditorium of the university premises in Dhaka.
Corinne Petrisor, senior trade commissioner of the high commission of Canada in Bangladesh was present at the program as the guest of honour, according to a press release issued in this regard.
In the presence of her and other distinguished guests, Dr Chowdhury Nafeez Sarafat, honourable founder and chairman, board of trustees, Canadian University of Bangladesh declared “CUB Alumni Association” open and wished its glorious future, the release adds.
Dr Nafeez also emphasised the significant role of CUB Alumni has to play in the development of the university and the placement of CUB graduates in future.
Pro-Vice Chancellor of Canadian University of Bangladesh Professor Dr Nazrul Islam welcomed the dignified guests and the alumni to the ceremony. Honorable Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Mohammad Mahfuzul Islam and Prof M Aa Arafat, chief advisor of CUB gave their valuable speeches during the program.
Among other dignitaries, Shahnul Hasan Khan, executive chairman, Bahauddin Muhammad Isa, acting registrar, Professor William H Derrenger, dean, School of Business, Dr Shahrukh Adnan Khan, dean, School of Science and Engineering, S M Arifuzzaman, head, School of Business, Dr Nurul Islam Babul, ead of Film & Television Department, Captain Kazi Ali Imam, head, Department of Shipping & Maritime Science, Dr M Mamoon Al Bashir, academic director, MBA & EMBA Programs, Walid Bin Quader, head, Department of Natural Science, Md Latiful Khabir, head of Student Service Wing, Faculty members and Alumni Association members of Canadian University of Bangladesh were present in the ceremony.
