British American Tobacco Bangladesh Company (BATBC) saw its profit decline for the year ended 2024. 

The largest cigarette manufacturer in the country posted a profit of Tk 1,750.68 crore in 2024, marking a 2 percent year-on-year decline.  

Its earnings per share stood at Tk 32.42 for the year ended December 31, down from Tk 33.11 a year ago, according to a disclosure on the DSE.   

The BATBC has declared a final cash dividend of 150 percent or Tk 15 per share. 

The dividend brings the total dividend to 300 percent or Tk 30 per share, including the 150 percent interim cash dividend paid in December 2024, the company said in the disclosure.

Shares of BATBC declined 0.96 percent to Tk 349.9 in mid-day trading today on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE). 

The company's net operating cash flow per share rose to Tk 32.07 from Tk 18.90 in 2023.
