Ambee Pharmaceuticals Ltd's profit surged 150 per cent year-on-year in the first quarter of the current financial year.

It made a profit of Tk 6 lakh in July-September of 2022, up from Tk 2.40 lakh in the same three-month period of 2021.

The pharmaceuticals company reported earnings per share of Tk 0.25 in the three months to September, which was Tk 0.10 in the same quarter a year earlier, according to the unaudited financial statements.

The net operating cash flow per share of Ambee Pharmaceuticals, however, dropped to Tk 4.34 for July-September from Tk 8.37 last year.

The net asset value per share was Tk 22.20 on September 30 and Tk 21.96 on June 30.

The pharmaceuticals manufacturer returned to profit in the financial year that ended on June 30 after clocking a profit of Tk 80.64 lakh. It incurred a loss of Tk 1.3 crore a year prior.
