Muhammad Abdul Mazid, former chairman of the National Board of Revenue, has been appointed as the chairman of the Social Development Foundation (SDF). 

He will take charge for the next three years, according to a circular by the finance ministry today. 

SDF, headquartered in the capital's Mohammadpur, is an autonomous development organisation under the finance ministry.
