Aarong’s new store draws heavy footfall amid Ramadan shopping rush

Aarong, the country's popular lifestyle brand, yesterday unveiled one of the world's largest craft stores, drawing a positive response from customers. 

Many visitors praised the outlet for its distinctive selection and immersive shopping experience. 

"This store is a proud testament to Bangladesh moving boldly into the future," said Tamara Abed, managing director of BRAC Enterprises, according to a press release.

"It embodies our mission to preserve and celebrate Bangladesh's rich artisanal heritage while delivering a world-class shopping experience, marking a new era for Aarong and highlighting the brand's global ambitions," she added. 

Located in the capital's Dhanmondi, the flagship outlet spans over 60,000 square feet across eight floors. Aarong said the store is poised to redefine the country's retail landscape. 

In a post on Aarong's Facebook page, Iftekhar Ahamed wrote, "I still remember the small Aarong outlet in Shukrabad. Since then, my connection with Aarong has remained unwavering." 

Nazma, another user, commented, "It's amazing to see people so delighted about the largest outlet in Dhanmondi, which also happens to be my next-door neighbour." 

Aarong also said on its website, "From our modest beginnings in Shukrabad, Dhanmondi, we are thrilled to unveil our most ambitious project yet." 

Another customer, Shormi Mirza, wrote, "Coming soon to visit my all-time favorite brand. You just made Bangladesh proud worldwide." 

Founded in 1978, Aarong has grown into a household name, renowned for preserving and promoting the country's craft traditions. 

With each new outlet, it reinforces its commitment to supporting local artisans, empowering communities, and inspiring future generations of creators. 

Aarong currently operates 30 outlets across Bangladesh.
