Md Shafiul Azam

Md Shafiul Azam has recently been promoted to the post of chief executive officer of Modhumoti Bank Ltd.

Prior to the promotion, Azam has been serving the bank as additional managing director, the bank said in a statement yesterday.

A postgraduate in marketing from Dhaka University, Azam started his career with AB Bank as a probationary officer in 1991.

Later, he joined Shahjalal Islami Bank in 2001. He left the bank as deputy managing director, according to the statement.

Azam has over 25 years of experience in the banking sector, the bank said.
