Exim Bank has appointed Mohammad Firoz Hossain as its new managing director and chief executive officer with effect from September 16.

The appointee, Hossain, was serving the bank as additional managing director, a press release said.

Hossain started his banking career with National Bank in 1988.

He then joined Exim Bank as an assistant vice-president in 1999 and worked in various capacities during his 22-year-long career with the lender.

He completed his MSc with BSc Honours from the University of Dhaka.
