Ahsan Khan Chowdhury

Ahsan Khan Chowdhury has been appointed as the chairman and chief executive officer of Pran-RFL Group, according to a statement.

Prior to the appointment, he had been serving the conglomerate as its deputy managing director.

The post of the chief executive fell vacant when Amjad Khan Chowdhury, father of Ahsan Khan and then CEO who founded the company in 1981, died on July 8 in 2015.

Ahsan Khan, 46, joined his father's business in 1992 after completing his studies in the USA. Ahsan has two children.

The position of the chairman had been vacant since July 14 this year when Mahtabuddin Ahmed, then chairman, passed away, according to the statement.
