Bullet-hit Indian youth handed over to BSF at Kurigram border

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has handed over an Indian citizen who was critically injured after being shot by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) while trying to illegally enter Bangladesh through Kurigram's Fulbari border.
Members of BSF 192 Battalion's Jhikri camp in Cooch Behar received Milon Miah (18) after he was handed over to them by BGB during a flag meeting held at Anantapur border in Fulbari upazila of Kurigram last night, reports our Lalmonirhat correspondent quoting Lt Col SM Touhidul Alam, commanding officer (CO) of Lalmonirhat 15 BGB Battalion.
Iqbal Hossain, company commander of Kashipur camp under Lalmonirhat 15 BGB Battalion, and Rajib Kumar Roy, officer-in-charge of Fulbari Police Station, also confirmed the matter to The Daily Star.
Milon was handed over to BGB after he was provided treatment at Kurigram General Hospital and his condition became stable, CO Touhidul Alam said.
Earlier yesterday, BGB arrested the Indian teenager through Nageshwari police after Indian Border Security Force shot and injured him when he was entering Bangladesh through Fulbari border on Saturday night.
