Khulna Bus Owners' Association has called a 24-hour strike starting from this evening ahead of BNP's divisional rally.

No bus will leave or enter Khulna city in the meantime, reports our local correspondent quoting Anwar Hosen, the joint-secretary of the association.

The strike has been called to prevent damage to vehicles if any trouble occurs centering BNP rally, said Anwar Hosen.

On the other hand, BNP has alleged that Awami League backed transport owners' association has called the strike in order to prevent the rally from being a success.

Nazrul Islam Manju, BNP president of Khulna, urged the administration to help make the rally a success.

The strike will start from 6:00pm today and will continue till tomorrow evening, Anwar Hosen said.
