Owners of two motor cars or houses with an aggregate area of eight thousand square feet in a city corporation will have to pay 10 percent surcharge, Finance Minister AMA Muhith said in his budget speech today.

"In addition to existing provisions on surcharge, I propose some small reform by imposing surcharge on individuals who own two motor cars or house property with an aggregate area of eight thousand square feet in a city corporation," he added.
