Veteran actor and freedom fighter Maya Ghosh passed away yesterday at Queens Hospital in Jessore. She was 70 years old at the time of passing, and had been battling with cancer for a long time. She was buried yesterday in Jessore.

She started her career with the film Patal Bijoy in 1981, and went on to act in more than 200 films. She was last seen in a television series in ATN Bangla in 2016.
