The Swadhinata Concert, set to be organised by the Shobar Agey Bangladesh Foundation as part of Independence Day celebrations, has been temporarily suspended.

Sayrul Kabir Khan, a member of the BNP Chairperson's media wing, confirmed the matter in a Telegram message.

Earlier on Monday night, a post was made on the verified Facebook page of the BNP Media Cell saying that in a bid to express solidarity with the oppressed people of Gaza and Rafah, the concert has now been rescheduled to April 12. 

The concert was set to feature performances from Bangladeshi artists.

The event was slated to be held in front of the National Parliament building on Manik Mia Avenue in the capital, along with simultaneous concerts in Chattogram, Khulna, and Bogura.
