Shakal Ahmed’s serial ‘Bhodropara’ airing on BanglaVision

‘Bhodropara’, directed by Shakal Ahmed, is set in the titular village, where all of the residents are thieves by profession. The satirical tele-fiction started broadcasting from August 20 on BanglaVision, and it airs every Tuesday and Wednesday at 8:15 pm. It features Chanchal Chowdhury and Arfan Ahmed in the central roles, in which they portray the characters of thieves.
“The plot is very interesting. The residents of the village are thieves by profession, and they have nothing else to do other than thievery,” says Chanchal Chowdhury.
The actors had to shoot during a cold flux, which was very challenging for them. “I was told to get down the pond in the freezing cold,” says Shahanaz Khushi, “However, I had to get this done. This will always be a memorable moment for me.”
The plot contains an important social message. “The story is allegorical in a sense; which I am sure the audience can relate to. As the story progresses, the messages will be revealed,” says Shakal Ahmed.
