Eminent writer and the chairman of Gemcon Group, Kazi Shahid Ahmed, recently launched his fourth novel titled Apekkha, at the Abdul Karim Sahitya Bisharad hall of Bangla Academy.

The book launching ceremony, moderated by poet Shamim Reza, had National Professor Dr Rafiqul Islam as the chief guest and folklorist Shamsuzzaman Khan as the special guest. The welcome speech was delivered by member of Board of Directors of Gemcon Group, Kazi Inam Ahmed. Poet and Director General of Bangla Academy, Habibullah Shirajee was also present at the ceremony.

Apekkha, published by Kagoj Prokashon, narrates the complexities of a love triangle.
