Popular TV and film actress Zakia Bari Mamo, who is celebrating her birthday today, has cleared all shooting schedules for the day to have some time for herself.

Mamo plans to visit her mother on the occasion, and spend time with her. “My birthday is not just a special day for myself but also for my mother, because she became a mother through my birth. I want to be by her side on this happy day.”

“I am glad I don't have any shooting schedules on the day. Usually I cannot avoid a date on my birthdays, but it's good to have the day to myself,” Mamo told The Daily Star.

The actor gets a lot of phone calls and gifts on her birthday, but doesn't have a special affinity towards any particular gift. “There is no bigger gift than blessings of loved ones,” she says.

Mamo won a national film award with her debut film “Daruchini Dweep”, and has since grown from strength to strength as an actor both on the small screen and big. The actress recently completed shooting for a film titled “Albanu” and is busy with a number of TV projects.
