[WATCH] Trailer of 'xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage'

Paramount Pictures has unleashed a trailer for its upcoming action blockbuster movie "xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage," the latest in the franchise of films based on the missions of government operative Xander Cage.

The film will see American actor Vin Diesel reprise his role as Cage, after sitting out the second pic in 2005, with DJ Caruso tapped to direct the feature.

The script, originally penned by Chad St. John and adapted by F. Scott Frazier, sees Cage come out of exile to take on a deadly alpha warrior named Xiang (Donnie Yen) in pursuit of an unstoppable weapon known as Pandora's Box.

Diesel plays alongside Samuel L. Jackson, Nina Dobrev and Tony Jaa in the film, scheduled for release on January 20, 2017.
