Police recovered the body of Shirin Akhtar, 20, wife of rickshaw-puller Iqbal Hossain and a resident of 99/1 North Bhasantek, hanging with a scarf from the ceiling at 7:00 am.

Iqbal told police that the couple had an altercation over Shirin's job. "I asked her not to work which made her angry and she might have committed suicide after the feud on Thursday night," said police quoting Iqbal.
