Kumaratunga dismissed the Sri Lanka Cricket committee just three days before the newly-elected members were due to take office on Sunday and replaced it with a special administration team, a ministry official said.

He said the move, effective overnight, was made amid allegations of financial irregularities in what is seen as the country's richest sporting body.
