In its annual report card on corporate reputation published in 7th March issue, Fortune ranked Novartis the second among pharmaceutical companies and the 48th among top 50 companies. Others on the list include Jhonson and Jhonson, Pfizer, Amgen, Astra, Zenecca and Eli Lilly, says a press release.

The Switzerland-based healthcare company had US $28.2 billion turnover in 2004 and of which 14.9 percent was spent on research development.
