Captained by national playma-ker Arman Mia, the experienced Noakhali lineup did not have to wait long to take the lead. Rookie midfielder Shahidul Karim found the mark four minutes into the Group A match at the Adhunik Stadium.

Qualifiers Chuadanga, without any big names in their roster, fought back but lack of experience showed in their finishing.
