Syeda Zohra Tajuddin, wife of the first prime minister of Bangladesh government in exile, Tajuddin Ahmad, was laid to rest at Banani graveyard in the capital last night.
Zohra, also a presidium member of Awami League, died in a city hospital on Friday at the age of 81.
She was buried at 6:45pm with state honour. Her son and former state minister Tanjim Ahmed Sohel Taj, daughter and AL lawmaker Simeen Hussain Rimi and other family members were present. Senior AL leaders Tofail Ahmed, AMA Muhith, Deputy Speaker Shawkat Ali and Dipu Moni were also present.
Earlier at 3:18pm yesterday, her second namaz-e-janaza was held at Dardaria Govt Primary School in her village home Kapasia of Gazipur and a guard of honour was also given to her there, reports our Gazipur correspondent.
The third janaza was held at the Kapasia High School at 4:15pm while the fourth on Rajbari field in Gazipur town at 5:15pm. 
On Friday, the first janaza was held at Gulshan Azad Mosque and her body was taken to AL central office in the capital where party leaders placed wreaths at her coffin to pay tribute.
