Three employees of India's state-owned Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) were abducted yesterday by suspected United Liberation Front for Asom (Independent) militants owing allegiance to their fugitive leader Paresh Barua from an oilfield in Sivsagar district of Assam. A car used by the militants as been found near Nagaland border. No demand for ransom or anything else has been received so far. ONGC said a complaint has already been lodged with the local police and higher officials have reached the site.
