Police arrested two youths on charge of selling CD of a college girl rape in Shailkupa upazila under Jhenidah district on Tuesday night.

The rapist, however, remained absconding.

The arrestees are Rasel and Madhu of Fulhari village in Shailkupa upazila.

Parvej of Balapara village, who had an affair with a female college student of the same village, hoaxed the girl to go to his house on September 22 noon when Rasel and Madhu were present there, police said.

While gossiping in a room, Parvej seduced the girl with promise to marry her and Rasel and Madhu started videoing the scene through a window.

Suddenly realising that the scene was being recorded in the video, the girl raised a hue and cry.

Parvej calmed her down by assuring to marry her within a few days.

But the three criminals recently made CD of the video recording and supplied its copies to the market.

The victim filed a case with Shailkupa Police Station against Parvej, Rasel and Madhu on Tuesday evening. Police arrested Rasel and Madhu but Parvej managed to flee.

The victim told this correspondent that family members of the rapist are threatening them to withdraw the case.

Contacted, Officer-in-Charge Anwar Hossain of Shailkupa Police Station said, "A copy of the CD has been submitted to the police station. We have arrested two accomplices of Parvej and are trying to nab him."
