Shimanto Square Food Court

Once upon a time Shimanto Square had very little to offer when it came to food. But recently the single Helvetia outlet has been replaced with around 15 smaller food stalls both inside and outside the shopping mall's doors.
You can pretty much find any kind of food in the line of stalls. From Deshi to even Mexican, if it's a cuisine worth eating it's there or will be there soon. Don't be fooled by the fact that they are all “stalls” out in the open air. They all maintain a pretty high standard of quality in terms of “street food”.
However, Shimanto Square's new food court isn't the best place to go for two with a budget under Tk 300. Nearly all the prices across all the stalls are the same and will leave you nearly or entirely broke. But “Dr. D” (it looks like “r.d” at first glance) has you covered if it comes to eating on a budget, probably pitching the cheapest prices in the vicinity.

Dr. D's “BBQ Grilled Chicken Burger” is your best bet when you're with a friend and your wallet isn't exactly brimming with money. At Tk.130 each, there's nothing too special separating it from the other burgers though. It's a standard grilled chicken patty with extra cheese, tomato, and other toppings available. Despite its lack of variety, the burger itself is good, should be enough to satisfy the hungry customer and is probably the best option when eating on a tight budget in the area. Dr. D, like all the other stalls, offers a take-away option as well, while there are the steps and stools scattered in front of all the small restaurants for enjoying your meal on the spot.
