The London Classic Car Show isn't a world renowned event, 2018 marking only the fourth iteration of the special gathering, but for the classic car enthusiast, it's definitely a feast for the eyes. Visitors got the chance to be up close to more than 700 cars with exhibitors from owner's clubs, private collectors and dealerships. Anything you can imagine having any sort of significance, from Le Mans winning Porsches to Ferraris and enthusiast driven MGs and Lamborghinis, shared floorspace with each other. The interesting thing was seeing cars like the Jensen 541 and AC 428 sharing space with priceless machines like the Zagato bodied Abarth Carrera GTL, which was based on a Porsche 356. The scale of these cars are also noteworthy – you never realise how enormous pre-World War II era cars from Bentley and Rolls Royce are in pictures, till you see them up front. The auditory experience is sublime – with a dedicated strip down the show-floor for rolling exhibits, getting to see cars like the Lotus 101 JUDD V8 F1 car roar by in its Camel livery is truly a once in a lifetime experience. Considering how it managed to make a straight-piped V10 BMW M5 sound tame, you can simply say it was loud. Overall, the 2018 London Classic Car Show did not disappoint in the slightest, with a little bit of everything for every kind of automotive enthusiast.
