Lexus Lf1Limitless Concept

The folks who designed this new Lexus crossover concept at CALTY Design Research in California call this "simple, yet elegant". They're saying the design language takes inspiration from the swords wielded by Japanese samurais, with the sharp edges and fluid surfaces apparently resembling a "molten katana".

The LF-1 Limitless concept is neither simple nor elegant, but it's certainly interesting. We can almost see that ugly spider face growing on us, and aside from the front end, the rest of it is surprisingly good looking, especially the rear three-quarters. It undoubtedly previews a crossover Lexus in the future, possibly slotting in under the RX300 and competing in a highly crowded market. It's also slated to have hybrid drivetrains.
