Titanic 3D marks Star Cineplex's 10th anniversary

titanic at cineplexStar Cineplex, the first multiplex cinema theatre of the country, celebrated its 10th anniversary on October 8, 2013 with the premiere of re-released 3D version of “Titanic” -- one of the masterpieces in the history of global cinema.
Beginning its journey in 2004, Star Cineplex, over the years kept the moviegoers enchanted with many Hollywood hits, as well as quality local films. Over the years, Show Motion Limited has brought many films to the city dwellers which proved too stiff a challenge for other cinema hall owners. Thus the journey of Star Cineplex was pioneering; and it was adorned with love from the film buffs. With the span of time, the multiplex has become a familiar spot for celebrations and quality entertainment.
There is little doubt that “Titanic 3D” is a perfect choice to mark the anniversary of Star Cineplex. Bringing back the larger-than-life ship Titanic, along with Jack and Rose and presenting the tragedy that follows in front of the audience in 3D gives the audience a new experience, since most of today's youngsters did not have the chance to watch it on big screens.
As a movie, Titanic doesn't need any introduction. At the time of its release, the movie won the hearts of millions and climbed on top of the list to become one of the most successful movies in the history of films. James Cameron, a master of cinematographic art, has done it again as the 3D rendition is a lovely experience, with subtle use of depth-of-field, extravagant set design, costume and obviously the drama that are bound to give the audience a well-rounded theatre experience. Although a few scenes are too flat, he gives an amazing demonstration of how non-action scenes are subtly handled in post-3D conversion. Titanic is one of those short-listed movies every scene of which is worth watching; Cameron's mastery of framing, eye-popping shots -- everything is of the highest class.
