Aziz Mohammad Bhai continued denying his involvement in the killing of film actor Sohel Chowdhury.

He is now under the custody of DB police.

Meanwhile, DB police yesterday raided the residences of three more girls for interrogating them in connection with the Sohel killing. But none of them were at home, police sources said.

Sohel was gunned down in front of Club Tramps at Banani in the city in the early hours of December 18.

Aziz Mohammad Bhai was arrested by the Special Branch (SB) of police under Section 54 of the CrPC from the city's Gulshan Ladies Park Wednesday evening. He was taken on DB remand on Monday.

DB sources said Aziz named some persons who could give police more information about the killing.

Besides, he told the detectives that "I was out of the country during the killing. If I really had hired anyone to kill Sohel, why do not police arrest the culprit," said a DB official preferring anonymity.

Meanwhile, CID is planning to interrogate Bunty Islam, another suspect in the Sohel murder case further, sources said. Earlier, court granted CID to take Bunty on a five-day remand in the case filed by the Department of Narcotics Control.

Bunty has been detained at the Dhaka Central Jail. Police so far arrested five persons in connection with the Sohel killing case.
