Bedaruddin Ahmed, a prominent Nazrul Geeti singer and Principal of the Bulbul Academy of Fine Arts (BAFA) died of cardiac arrest at Suhrawardy Hospital yesterday morning. He was 72, reports BSS.

Namaz-e-janaza for Bedaruddin Ahmed was held at Iqbal Road mosque in Mohammadpur after Zohr prayers and at Baitul Mokarram Mos-que after Asar prayers.

He was buried at Shaheed Intellectuals' Graveyard.

He left behind three sons and two daughters.

Qulkhwani of Bedaruddin Ahmed will be held on Friday after Asr prayers at 9/18 Iqbal Road, Block-A, Mohammadpur.

State Minister for Youth, Sports and Cultural Affairs Obaidul Qader condoled the death of renowned singer Bedaruddin Ahmed.
