Actress Falguni Hamid has been appointed as director of Bangladesh Shishu Academy, says a press release. The seasoned actress has also been involved with journalism for 15 years. She completed Masters in Bangla from the University of Dhaka.
Hamid played several memorable roles in TV plays. Her character Rina in the BTV serial “Dhaka-e Thaki” was hugely popular. Apart from acting, she has also been writing, directing and producing radio, TV and stage plays.
At present, Hamid runs the magazine Shimontini, on women and children's issues. Hamid will take charge of her new post on June 20.
