Dhaka Rock Fest 2007 pulls in enthusiastic crowd
Black performs at the concert
The musical extravaganza, “Dhaka Rock Fest 2007” was held on November 9 at the adjacent open space of Bashundhara City Convention Centre, Baridhara, says a press release. The programme organised by Clapper Events, featured performances by Bangladeshi bands -- Miles, Warfaze, Artcel, Black and Power Surge and Indian band Fossils.
The concert started in the afternoon with a performance by Power Surge. Winner of the recent Djuice Rockstar 2 contest, Power Surge, opened their performance with the song Aprostut juddho. The band also rendered Shesh shimana, Agrashon and other songs.
Next on stage was Black. The band rendered three songs Poytrish, Proshnobodhok Chinho and Blues & roud. Artcell performed Odekha swargo, Bhul jonmo, Pathchola, Onnoshomoy and more. Warfaze sang six songs including the all-time favourite Ekti chhele, Hotasha and Mukti chai.
Indian band Fossils staged their first performance in Bangladesh at the concert. The Kolkata-based rock band performed ten songs including Hasnuhana, Bicycle chor, Bishakto manush and Ekla ghar.
The last band to perform was Miles. Their performance included eight of their hit numbers – Chand tara, Neela, Frustration, Jatiyo Sangeeter ditiyo line, Phirioye dao, Hridoyhina and Jwala.
