More firearms recovered in Habiganj forest, Rab claims

Rapid Action Battalion claimed to have recovered a huge cache of firearms and ammunition from Satchhari forest in Chunarughat upazila of Habiganj today.
The elite force members recovered 9,454 bullets, 80 magazines and five wireless sets, Riad Rahman Rabbani, commander of Rab-9, told reporters at noon.
The firearms and ammunition were found in two holes in the remote forest, reports a correspondent from Habiganj quoting the Rab official.

The Rab men recovered the firearms from the forest for the fifth time in the last four months.
On September 17, the elite force recovered 14 sacks of explosives, 112 rocket launchers and 48 chargers of rocket launcher.
They recovered two light machine guns (LMG), one sub-machine gun (SMG), six self loading rifles (SLR), one automatic rifle, one sniper telescope-5 rifle and 2,400 bullets of bore 7.62mm the forest on September 2.
On June 3, 184 rocket shells (40mm) and 153 chargers were recovered and 633 rounds of 7.62 mm bullets, 54 rounds of 12.54 mm bullets, 37-inch long barrel of a machinegun were recovered on June 9, from the reserve forest.
