The world must help Rohingyas
The Rohingya crisis is one of the gravest humanitarian crises of our time. In the face of unspeakable horror unleashed by Myanmar's military force, nearly a million Rohingyas fled their country to Bangladesh. They have been living in the refugee camps ever since.
But as the monsoon season approaches, Rohingya refugees are facing another crisis. Many aid agencies estimate that nearly 100,000 refugees are at high risk of mudslides and flooding. The lack of clean water and sanitation increases the risk of water contamination and outbreak of diseases, which could be lethal for the refugees.
While Bangladesh and the aid agencies can join hands in providing a temporary solution, the world has an obligation to help these refugees get their homes back.
