The Chattagram-Cox's Bazar highway is an important thoroughfare as it links the country's number one tourist destination with the port city. But the condition of the road is not favourable for a smooth journey. Just after crossing the Karnaphuli bridge, one comes to a junction of roads called Maijjertek. Travelling farther south from that point, one experiences a bumpy ride for one kilometre as the road is full of potholes. This road needs urgent repair.
