Many TV stations are understandably trying to gain easy popularity by broadcasting shows with Ashraful Islam (known as Hero Alom) after he announced that he would be contesting in the forthcoming election. In a few of these shows, some anchors appeared to even insult Hero Alom.

It is normal for a person to contest in elections in a democratic country. Some may feel that the person does not deserve candidacy, but they should have the decency not to attack him/her personally for their physical appearance or lifestyle.
