It seems that traffic congestion on Dhaka-Ctg highway will remain this way unless a viable solution is found. As the roads and highways department keeps experimenting with new ideas, they should think about fixing a time schedule for different modes of transports on national highways. Trucks and covered vans can ply the highways at night only and cars and buses at daytime only. Also, there should be a rule that no inter-district buses can leave Dhaka terminals after 5pm. If these rules work out well, managing Dhaka-Ctg highway would be much easier.
