Whenever I read newspaper or watch TV news, news of road accidents never fails to come to my notice. More than four thousand people died in road accidents last year, with thousand others injured. I lost my best friend in a road accident last year. So I know how much pain the families and friends of the victims have to go through. What I find outrageous is that these deaths could have been prevented, had successive governments been strict about implementing laws to ensure road safety. The government should take this matter seriously and do everything in its capacity to prevent these unnatural deaths.
