Tea stall owner killed

Unidentified criminals stabbed a youth to death in Shahzadpur upazila of Sirajganj on Monday.

The victim, Jamaat Ali Sheikh, 22, son of Bisha Mollah of Berakhola village, was a tea-stall owner and used to stay at his makeshift shop.

Police said villagers spotted Jamaat's body floating in a pond beside his shop in the morning.

On information, police went to the spot, recovered the body around 1:00pm and sent it to Sirajganj General Hospital morgue for autopsy, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shahzadpur Police Station Khaja Golam Kibria said.

“Criminals might have killed him over personal enmity,” the OC said, adding that they were investigating the incident.
