Speakers at a human in the town yesterday demanded immediate arrest and exemplary punishment of the perpetrators involved in raping a Marma girl and molesting her younger sister over a week ago.

The girls, aged 18 and 13 years, became victims of the brutalities during a joint raid allegedly by the security forces at Orachhari village in Bilaichhari upazila on January 22 night.

Parbattya Chattagram Nari Sangha, Hill Women's Federation and Ghilachhari Nari Nirjatan Protirodh Committee Rangamati unit organised the rally in front of Rangamati deputy commissioner's office.

Doya Sona Chakma and Kajoli Tripura spoke at the rally with Shanti Prova Chakma in the chair.
