A three-member committee formed by Petrobangla to look into the demands of Barapukuria Coal Mining Company Limited (BCMCL)'s miners, workers and villagers had a meeting with their leaders at the mining site yesterday.

The five-hour-long meeting, however ended without any results.

The agitation of miners, workers and affected people of 20 villages entered its 14th day yesterday.

The miners and workers started work abstention on May 13 urging the BCMCL to accept their 13-point demand while the land subsidence affected people of 20 villages around the coal mine joined them to realise six-point demand including pay hike.
