A mural of 'Seven Bir Shrestha' was unveiled yesterday at Jamalpur Zila Parishad.

Local lawmaker Rezaul Karim Hira was chief guest at the function. He unveiled the mural created by artist Saidul Islam Salim.

Deputy Director of Local Government Division Khandakar Abdullah Al Mahmud, Jamalpur Municipality Mayor Mirza Sakhawatul Alam Moni and district Awami League President Baki Billah were special guests.

The meeting was held with Zila Parishad Chairman Faruk Ahmed Chowdhury in the chair.

Speakers at the meeting said the mural of the seven martyred freedom fighters is testimony to their supreme and unprecedented sacrifice in the history of our great Liberation War in 1971.

Such kind of artistic work based on the memory of the great sons of the soil, who embraced martyrdom to free the country from the Pakistan occupation forces, should be undertaken to uphold the spirit of the Liberation War, they said.
