Police recovered the body of a youth from Kawamara village in Sarishabari upazila on Monday, three days after he went missing.

The deceased, Mehedi Hassan, 25, was son of Abdul Jabbar of Madaria village in Tangail's Bhuapur upazila.

Police said villagers spotted Mehedi's body floating on the Jamuna river around 10:00am and informed the police.

Family members said Mehedi went out of his house on Friday morning and did not return home.
