A missing madrasa boy was found dead in Barguna's Amtoli upazila yesterday.

The deceased was Md Maruf, 11, a student of Class II of Tafhimul Quran Cadet Madrasa in the upazila.

Maruf, son of Zafar Khan of Basugee village, went missing on Sunday while taking bath in the Payra river with his four friends, said Shahid Ullah, officer-in-charge of Amtoli Police Station.

Informed by local fishermen, police recovered the body from the river yesterday noon, said the OC.
